    Baby Shoe, c. 1940s. Left foot, white leather, lace up baby shoe. On the top of the foot are a series of holes in a concentric pattern. The sole of the shoe is made out of a harder leather than the body of the shoe.

  2. Bronzed Baby Shoe, c. 1940s - Shoe

    Bronzed Baby Shoe, c. 1940s. The shoe (right foot) and shoelaces is covered in a metallic bronze layer. The laces are curled around the side the shoe. On the front, top of the show there is a series of indents in an arch pattern, these appear to be intentional. The bronze layering on the underside of the shoe has worn off, exposing the layers which covered the shoe during the bronzing process.

    Cobbler's Hammer, c. 1930-1960. Wooden handle slightly tapers to metal hammer head. Wood travels through hole in hammer head to attach together, wood can be seen from top of hammer head. Metal head is rectangular shape than narrows to thin oval shape with rounded edge. Rectangular side of hammer head has eight flat edges.

    Shoehorn, 1891. Belonging to Howard Family. Floral engraved silver handle extends to shoehorn. Handle has floral engravings along edges and intersection of handle. Engraved monogram "FWS" inside of floral designs on top of handle. Shoehorn is flat and curved in oval shape. Edges of shoehorn are curved inward. Back of shoe horn has Dominick & Haff's manufacturer stamp reading, "STERLING / 925 1891 / 74".

    Shoes for Minho Costume, 2005. Black patent leather slip-on shoes, closed-toed and open at the heel, with low heel. Toe has red zigzag embroidery across the edge of the opening, and multicolored floral embroidery on the toe, with three large central flowers and smaller asterisk flowers surrounding them. Inside lining and sole is white.

    Zori (red and white shoes). A pair of zori, or Japanese thong-style wedge sandals. Each sandal has a vinyl footbed with two straps secured toward the front and on the sides. One strap is white vinyl, the other is red and gold woven brocade. The front of the shoe has a .5" platform, which slopes up to 2" at the heel.
