Early Sawmill Model, c. 1955. Model of an early sawmill. Mechanical interactive sawmill model with exterior crank handle (outside plex). When the external crank is turned, the water wheel spins and the saw blade goes up and down. The log sits on a sliding carrier with a rope attached to a second crank inside the case that a logger would spin in order to move the log so that the cut would extend along its length.
