    Russian Cannon, 1801. Cannon is a three-pounder cast of solid iron in one solid piece. The chase appears to be a cross between an English Armstrong system and a similar Danish-Swedish system. It is a 3:1 vent-bore ratio. The touchhole, or vent, is spiked with a square file or nail.
