    Japanese Internment Camp Shell Art Boutonniere, c. 1942-1944. 6 stems of wrapped wires in green with three long leaves and clusters of shells to look like irises. Three light blue and three purple clusters of shells painted with yellow stripes to look like irises at the end of the stems. Stems are gathered at the bottom in a loop and wrapped with floral tape. Made by Yoshiko Yamanouchi while interned at Topaz internment camp in Utah.
