CAROL A. SLAVICK has devoted much of her life to securing equal educational opportunities for those denied access to programs because of poverty, cultural or ethnic background, and special needs. Since the early 60s, Ms. Slavick has worked with administrators and parents from San Mateo County school districts to establish programs to meet the needs of people with disabilities. She has been a member of the San Mateo County Board of Education since 1965. Her tenure with the Board has included serving twice as President and currently she hold the position of Vice President. Ms. Slavick has consistently worked toward the goal of encouraging the promotion of women for top management positions in education. |
