May, Katie |
Notes |
Plaque Bio: "In the mid-1990s, she was a three-sport standout at Burlingame. But her softball prowess proved to be her greatest strength. She was a four-year starter for the Panthers as a shortstop and, after graduating, didn't miss a beat at U.C. Berkeley. Playing for the Golden Bears, she became the program's starting shortstop almost immediately. She was a smooth fixture and a fluid defensive standout at that position for four productive seasons, finishing her career with 596 assists, an all-time Cal record. Her team won 163 games and played in the College World Series twice. At the plate, she led the team with 12 doubles in 1998." |
