The San Francisco Examiner, Wednesday, September 30, 1942 "Belmont Treasurer Called by Death Alpheus T. Hasbrouck, 59, Belmont city treasurer for the past twelve years, died yesterday from a heart attack at his Belmont home. A native of Effingham, Ill., he had resided in Belmont for the past sixteen years. Before coming to live on the peninsula, Mr. Hasbrouck served as deputy county clerk in Alameda County. He was a bachelor. Funeral services will be held tomorrow from the Layng and Tinney Funeral Home, at Redwood City, with interment at Alta Mesa Cemetery at Los Altos." |
