U.S. 48-star Flag, c. 1931-1948. Synthetic(?) loose-weave cloth flag with 48 white stars. Stars are part of the fabric and the blue 17.5"x24" square has been dyed around them. Blue section is one solid piece while alternating red and white stripes are sewn individually. There is white binding on star side with folded-over ends through which brass grommets are placed. |
