A black leather loop is affixed just above grip on handle end. Cylindrical baton has eight 4 3/4" long notches, that serve as grips, encircling both sides of baton near ends: handle side is 5" from end while top is 4" from end. The letters, "SMSO" are engraved/burnt into handle end. Used to push people during a riot.
