Description Plaque commemorating Vic Mangini of Burlingame High School being inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 5, 2001. Plaque includes image Mangini and a brief biography: "During his 35-year career at Burlingame High School, Vic Mangini, a native of New York, became synonymous with both the institution and the town itself. As a track and field coach, his teams won eight Peninsula Athletic League titles. As a teacher and dean of boys, he influenced the lives of at least 10,000 Burlingame students. As a member of the Burlingame City Council for 20 years, he was mayor of the community on four seperate occasions. For many, Mangini is simply 'Mr. Burlingame.'"
