Description Wood and acrylic plaque commemorating Jon Miller of the College of San Mateo who was inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on May 22, 1997. Plaque includes image of Miller and a brief biography: "Jon Miller was born to broadcast. As a youngster growing up in the East Bay, he spent countless hours practicing his sports play-by-play technique. In the late 1960's at the College of San Mateo, he got his first real chance, working on the mike at Bulldog football games. Late, Miller did broadcasting work for the University of San Francisco, the Warriors of the NBA and several major league baseball teams. In 1997, he became the Giants' lead announcer while continuing to work for ESPN."
