Description Wood and acrylic plaque commemorating John Moreno of Terra Nova High School and Skyline College who was inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 23, 2005. Plaque includes image of Moreno and a brief biography: "Long-distance running was in John Moreno's blood. In both cross-country and track, he is regarded as one of the greatest performers at ever at both Terra Nova High School and Skyline College and later at San Francisco State University. At SF State, he became an all-American in cross-country. A world-class competitor, he qualified to run in three U.S. Olympic Team marathon trials in the 1980's. He won four U.S. marathons during that period. He was named California Distance Runner of the Year in 1985."
