Description WWII Navy Sailor's hat, 1943. Dark blue wool cap has a flat round top and a vertical band that is narrower which encircles one's head. At front of band is a black silk bow. Cap is plain with no distinguishing markings. Interior of band is lined with light tan leather that is sewn on with tread at bottom edge. There is a diamond-shaped piece of brown vinyl sewn to top interior of cap which may have once been a label but which is now illegible.
