Description Plaque commemorating Diane Kalliam of San Mateo High School being inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on May 31, 1994. Plaque includes image of Kalliam and a brief biography: "Diane Kalliam was a red-blooded, All American girl in the mid-1950s in San Mateo who gained national softball fame as both an amateur and professional. / Kalliam, now a teacher and longtime softball coach at San Francisco State University, played for 18 years in the '60s and '70s, routinely capturing All-Star team honors and winning national betting championships in 1974 and '75. / She broke a 25-year old record with a .632 mark in the U.S. tournament and was inducted into the Amateur Softball Association Hall of Fame."
