Description Wood and acrylic plaque commemorating Don Delbon of Jefferson High Schoolwho was inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 22, 2004. Plaque includes image of Delbon and a brief biography: "In the early 1950s, Don Delbon was one of the most honored prep athletes in San Mateo County. A multi-sport athlete at Jefferson High School, he achieved his greates notriety in basketball. He played both basketball and baseball at Oregon University. Later, as a basketball standout in Europe, he was the top scorer in the Germany Sports District League as a military all-star. In his junior and senior seasons at Jefferson, the Indians went 23-1 in the northern division of the Peninsula Athletic League." Plaque and induction was sponsored by The Times of San Mateo.
