Notes "Dresser scarves are a bit like doilies or table runners, serving much the same purpose -- providing decor as well as protection for bedroom furniture. These vintage fabrics are often quite ornate, featuring hand-sewn stitching, embroidery, crochet work or decorative threadwork used to embellish each piece. Even stained or damaged vintage dresser scarves can be repurposed into new, useful decor with slight modification."
