Description Plaque commemorating Bob McClure being inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on May 23, 1996. Plaque includes image of McClure and a brief biography: "Bob McClure, an alumnus of Terra Nova High in Pacifica and the College of San Mateo, spent 19 seasons in the major leagues. A left-handed relief pitcher, McClure holds the CSM career pitching marks for season and career strikeouts, 142 and 252 respectively. / His career ERA there was a gaudy 1.94. In his two seasons at the local community college, he picked off more than 50 baserunners and produced a 21-3 record. / Through the 1993 season, McClure pitched for seven major league clubs. His career ERA in the majors was 3.80. He accumulated a 68-56 overall record, with 702 strikeouts and 497 walks. With Milwaukee of the American League, he pitched in the 1982 World Series."
