Description Plaque commemorating Greg Jones of South San Francisco High being inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on May 31, 1994. Plaque includes image of Jones and a brief biography: "Greg Jones was a three-sport star at South San Francisco High School at a time when the Warriors were dominant, beginning a run of five straight championship football seasons and 29 straight victories. / He went on to become a key running back for UCLA when the Bruins chased a national title in the late 1960s. Later he was a back, receiver and kick returner for the Buffalo Bills for two seasons. / Jones played under fellow Hall of Fame inductee Ray DeJong at South City High. He ranks 10th all-time on the UCLA rushing charts with 1,899 yards."
