Description "Lady Diana" Feathered Hat with Veil, c. 1983. Light taupe-colored wool hat has a shallow domed crown and a wide asymmetrical brim that is 2.5" in the back and 3.625" in the front. A dark taupe-colored ribbon forms a band at crown just above brim. A 16.5" long thin golden feather with black horizontal stripes is affixed to the proper right of hat at band; the quill of the feather is wrapped in the same ribbon that comprises the band. Affixed to band at front and sides is taupe-colored netting that extends just below brim in front. A beige-colored ribbon is affixed to interior where crown is folded into brim. A black elastic cord is affixed to either side of interior ribbon for securing beneath chin or around hair.

Notes Sonni of California, Inc. was established in 1952 and is located on Peralta Street in Oakland California. Historically, they are also known as "Sonni" and "Sonni of San Francisco".
