Description Wood and acrylic plaque commemorating Rich Schlenker of Sequoia High School who was inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 10, 2003. Plaque includes image of Schlenker and a brief biography: "Much to the chagrin of followers of the San Francisco Giants, Rich Schlenker did his baseball scouting work much too well. He's one of the people responsible for assembling the talent that brought the Anaheim Angels their surprising 2002 World Series crown vs. the Giants. As a prep, Schlenker was a key member of three Sequoia High School football teams that didn't lose a single game from 1959 through 1961. He signed a pro baseball contract after high school.
