Raynet Non-Invasive Coupler Plaque, 1994. Commemorative plaque presented to Robert M. Halperin on September 29, 1994 during a celebration of Raynet, a subsidiary of the Raychem Corporation focused on fiber optic distribution systems. The plaque has a brown wooden base that is 4" x 9" x 0.75". A fiber optic coupler is mounted to the base at left. The coupler has metal hardware in a clear plastic base. A thin gray fiber optic cable extends out from the base and leads to a fiber optic connector. The connector is cylindrical and constructed with metal hardware and gray, orange, and black plastic. A metal plate is attached to the lower right side of the base. The plate is inscribed with the text, " 'NON-INVASIVE COUPLER' / THE INVENTION THAT LAUNCHED RAYNET / Presented to / Bob Halperin / In Recognition of Your Tireless Support as / Chairman of the Board / September 29, 1994." A logo for "Raynet" appears on the metal plate at bottom right. An additional piece of black colored wood that is 3.25" x 8.125" x 0.25" is attached to the back of the base. Green felt circles are adhered to the corners of the black wood piece. A metallic gold adhesive label for the company "First Place" is attached on the back at center.
