Catalog Number 2014.018.003B
Description San Mateo County Sheriff's Office ravioli or small square cloth "bean bag" containing shot to be used with a ravioli launcher. Steel baton (A) is painted black and has a ribbed plastic grip between two round knobs at one end. There is a fabric cord looped around plastic grip. Between steel cylinder and grip is a silver colored ring that acts as a safety by spinning into place. Half inch above metal ring is 3/4 inch textured band to use as additional grip. There is a backwards F-shaped cut-out in the plastic grip handle in which resides a spring-loaded vertical handle with the rubberized grip. Baton is used during riots to shoot raviolis such as (B) which is orange cloth sewn in square shape and filled with small shot or metal beads. This is considered to be a "less than lethal" weapon.
