Description Plaque commemorating Joe Fena of Serra High School being inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 10, 2003. Plaque includes image of Fena and a brief biography: "His nickname was the 'Toy Tank.' Joe Fena, a compact 5-8, 200-pound bull of a fullback on San Mateo High School's storied 1926 state championship football team, was a force to be reckoned with. He went on to play for Denver University as a lineman and punter. He did the same thing playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers of the All-American Football Conference, one of the precursors of today's NFL. He was one of the first San Mateo County athletes to play professional football."
