Description Embroidered Heart-Shaped Pillowcase, n.d. Cloth pillow case is made with thin off-white fabric cut into a heart shape and is decorated with lace trim and an image of a woman at center. The woman appears in profile wearing a short sleeve blue dress with a full skirt, wide white collar, and a blue bonnet with a white brim. The woman's dress and her skin are painted onto the cloth and outlined in black thread. The woman holds a large bouquet of flowers embroidered with pink, yellow, purple, blue, orange, red, and green thread. The woman has four embroidered flowers behind her ear and tiny flowers embroidered on her dress collar. The lace attached around the edge of the pillowcase is a 1.5" wide piece of blue mesh that has a 0.5" piece of off-white floral-patterned lace at the edge. This same floral lace is attached to the sides of the woman's dress collar at center. The pillow has a 10" opening in the back for inserting a pillow form.
