Description Plaque commemorating Chi Johnson of Menlo-Atherton High School being inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on July 23, 2015. The plaque is silver acrylic mounted with golden screws onto a dark wooden base. Plaque includes image of Johnson sitting on a grass field with her left leg out in front of her and her right knee bent. She is wearing a blue and yellow track suit. A brief biography is also on the front, "In terms of sheer athletic gifts-speed, quickness, leaping ability, anticipation-few / Peninsula prep stars compare to Chi Johnson. In the early 1990s, she was almost in / a category by herself on the female side of the sporting ledger. She was the Central / Coast Section high-jump champion in 1990 and 1991. In 1990, she won the state / high-jump championship. Chi was the Peninsula Times-Tribune Athlete of the Year / in both 1990 and 1991. She was an all-state performer in 1991. She also excelled / as a basketball player during her time at Menlo-Atherton. Later, at the University of / California-Berkeley, Chi competed in track and field." The back of the plaque has an oval sticker with the logo and contact information for Spotlight Impressions, the manufacturer of the plaque.
