Description Plaque commemorating Spencer Folau of Sequoia High School being inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 14, 2011. Plaque includes image of Folau and a brief biography: "Sometimes, a perceptive coaching decision can send an athlete along an entirely fresh and productive path. Such was the case with Spencer Folau, an imposing football player from Redwood City's Sequoia High School. After graduation, the native of Tonga matriculated to the University of Idaho where, at first, he was tabbed to be a defensive tackle. Later on, though, he was switched to the offensive line. Great move. He spent eight seasons in the NFL on that side of the ball, playing on four different teams. In 2000, he was part of a Baltimore Ravens' ballclub that won the Super Bowl."
