Description Wood and acrylic plaque commemorating Lars Jensen of Menlo-Atherton High School and College of San Mateo who was inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 22, 2004. Plaque includes image of Jensen and a brief biography: "Wrestling is Lars Jensen's middle name. He's been on the mat competing or coaching the sport most of his life. As the head coach at San Francisco State University for the past 21 years, he has developed a Division II wrestling program that is one of the best in the NCAA. Through 2004, his teams have produced 72 All-Americans, 24 of them academic honorees. Jensen's 1997 SF State team won the Division II title. As a champion wrestler himself, Jensen took part in the 1980 U.S. Olympic Trials."
