Description Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W Banner, n.d. Rectangular royal blue banner with gold fringe stitched onto the edge. Silk/satin like fabric. The gold fringe extends 0.5in. from all 4 edges. In the center there is an emblem 3in. tall x 3in. wide. The emblem consists of an inner circle with the eagle symbol in the center and an outer circle with the words "Auxiliary V.F.W". Beyond that there are 4 rectangular shapes extending from the top, bottom, left, and right. In between these are 4 different motifs, crossing swords, crossing anchors, crossing rifles and one unrecognizable. Above the emblem are yellow printed words reading "LADIES AUXILIARY" and below the emblem there are the words which read "VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS" the lettering on the bottom is 0.75in tall and 10.375in wide. The lettering on the top is curved down at the ends making it 9in. across.

"The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is a U.S. organization comprised of men who have served overseas in the military during World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Persian Gulf War...The VFW was established in 1913, consolidating three organizations created by Spanish-American war veterans. From its inception, the VFW has sought to promote patriotism and national security. Its paramount mission, however, has been ensuring that needy and disabled veterans receive aid." []
