Plaque includes image of Walen and a brief biography: "As a young teenager, Mark Walen didn't cotton much to football. But a high school teacher, who happened to be the varsity football coach, convinced Walen to give the sport a try. It didn't take long for him to be successful. Big and quick for his size, Walen rapidly developed into one of the best lineman on the Peninsula a generation ago. Later, at UCLA, he became the defensive lineman of the year in the Pac-10. He then spent four productive seasons as a defensive tackle with the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL."
