Description Plaque commemorating Tori Nyberg of Carlmont High School being inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 14, 2011. Plaque includes image of Nyberg and a brief biography: "Almost from the moment she stepped onto the bucolic Belmont campus of Carlmont High in the 1990's, Tori Nyberg was a pitching phenom. In four highly successful seasons there, she won a state record 113 games. She set California marks with 35 wins and 28 shutouts in a single campaign. She was Central Coast Section Player of the Year and an all-state selection three times. At Stanford University, she recorded 53 victories, striking out 440 batters in 551 innings. She had 14 shutouts and a career 1.74 earned run average. She was an all-Pac 10 performer twice."
