Plaque includes image of Parks and a brief biography: "When the discussion turns to Ben Parks, the work "icon" comes to mind immediately. He has been a Peninsula coaching fixture for decades, primarily at Menlo-Atherton High School. But Coach Parks has been more than that.
As a respected and revered community figure, he has been a mentor and teacher for countless young people in the South County area. As one of his former students put it, "Coach taught us never to give up on ourselves and always to see how we can be of service to others."
