Description Percale Pillow Case, n.d. One of a pair of off-white extra fine rectangular percale pillow cases. The pillow cases are hand-stitched and 35 x 25 inches overall. Ruffled trim is stitched to the top side of the opening and is 2.5" wide. Hemstitching that is 1/16th wide appears within 1/8th inch from the ruffel's edge. There are three evenly spaced off-white buttons and corresponding pieces of cloth with button holes sewn into the interior opening edge of the pillow case. There is a black ink signature in cursive script in the center of each pillow that is 3.75" in from where the ruffle is attached. The signature reads, "[Louise] B. [French] / [18 or 19 or No][21 or 31]"
