Description Table Scarf, n.d. White rectangular cloth with pleated decoration and lace trim. The table scarf appears to have been hand-sewn and decorated with handmade lace. A 1.25" inner border of pleated decoration appears 1.5" in from the edge (not including lace). There are five pleats that make up the border. They run parallel to the edge of the cloth on each side and criss-cross at the inner corners. Lace around the edge is 2.5" wide with a pattern of diamonds and open work circles. On the back side, a 1.5" fabric panel is visible sewn all the way around the table scarf with the corners folded over diagonally and sewn flat. This edging panel has pleated decoration placed to match the central panel. The lace is sewn to this outer panel of fabric.
