Description United States Navy Aircraft at SFO, 1950. Black and white negative of a Lockheed R6V Constitution naval aircraft on tour at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). A large aircraft appears at center parked on the tarmac, which extends into the foreground of the image. "YOUR NAVY-AIR AND SEA" are written towards the top of the plane's fuselage. A Lockheed logo with a shooting star appears on the rudder of the plane, beneath which are the words "RM / US NAVY." There are approximately 19 people on the tarmac near the plane. Some are soldiers in dress uniform and some are civilians viewing the plane. There is a roped-off area in front of the side of the plane. This area is to the rear of the left wing and near a set of mobile stairs leading up to an open door in the fuselage of the plane. Next to the door is the number 164 and a United States Air Force logo. There are also several service vehicles and other planes in the foreground and background of the image on the tarmac. Part of a series.
