Description California Drive at Buringame Avenue, 1948. Black and white negative shows a car driving south on California Drive at the corner of Burlingame Avenue. The Burlingame Train Depot appears in the background on the left. In the parking lot of the train depot is a striped truck with the words "BAGGAGE / EXPRESS" on its side. A Borden Dairy billboard reads "Give to fight Cancer" on top of a P.G.& E. office building. There are several cars and buses driving on the street, as well as a group of three women crossing the street at center in the image. On the right in the foreground are two newspaper stands and a fire hydrant. There are several other signs for businesses and products in the background, including: "FORD," "LA CASA," "FOUNTAIN / CIGARS / MAGAZINES," and "COCA-COLA" as well as several motor parts stores.
