Description c. 1943 Belair Shipyard Complete Construction Dock. Black and white copy print from the US National Archives Belair Shipyard Collection. Image depicts a large rectangular bay or dock surrounded by large vertical wooden boards. It has a flat recessed center upon which are workers in hard hats and stacks of lumber. Some lumber appears to be being placed over the flat surface in a grid-like formation. The hood of a car is in the foreground; the photographer was probably standing on the car's roof.
