Description Packing shed of the California Floral Co., Redwood City, Photograph, c. 1935-1945. This is a sepia photograph pasted on black cardboard. There are nine workers busy packing flowers into flower boxes. There are calla lillies in white buckets to the left of the photograph and piles of foliage and cellophane bags. From left to right are: Virginia Decia, unidentified worker, Edna Rosetto, unidentified worker, Gerald Brown, Alfred Decia, Fritz, Oscar and Henry Decia (Alred's brother). The wall behind Henry Decia houses the steam room. Accaciz would be picked green and then go into the steam room to force-bloom before pakcing in cellophane bags to be shipped.
