Description Photograph of Raychem Headquarters, c. 1957-1975. Silver gelatin photograph shows a row of buildings along a paved road. The road appears diagonally in the frame from mid-ground at center left to the foreground across the bottom of the image. Seven street lights with large spherical globes appear along the edge of the road. A two-story building featuring rectangular brick columns, large windows, and a shingled roof is visible at right. Several single story buildings are visible in the distance at center left. Trees are planted in a row in front of the buildings, and benches are clustered near the road. RAYCHEM CORP. / PHOTO DEPARTMENT / FILE # 173-51E" is stamped at center on the back of the photograph in red ink. A check mark, the number '4' and illegible text (possibly "Saco") is handwritten in red pencil at center right on the back of the photograph. This photograph is part of a group of photos stored in a mailing envelope sent to Ms. Sue Norton at the Raychem Corporation from Mape Industries in Palo Alto. The envelope is postmarked December 17, 1975. The inscription on the mailing label reads, "MAPE INDUSTRIES / 2483 East Bayshore Suite 100, Palo Alto, Calif. 94303 / TO / Ms. Sue Norton / Raychem Corporation / 4040 Campbell Ave. / Menlo Park, California 94025."
