Copy Negative of Construction of Main Plant 1966, August 8, 1988. This is a black and white contact print of a 4 x 5 negative taken in 1966 that shows the construction of Building A at Raychem Corporation headquarters in Menlo Park, California. A dirt road with grass on both sides leads to a long rectangular building in the background of the image, which extends from left to right above center. Several cars are parked in front of the building and one car appears on the road as it enters the building lot. A printed label below the photograph has information handwritten in blue ink. The label reads, "NEGATIVE # 387-66 / DATE 8-8-88 / TITLE Copy neg of construction of main plant 1966 / CATEGORY Facilities Construction." On the right side of the contact print, "387-66" is written in black ink.
Photographs 2015.015.001.81 - 2015.015.001.107 were originally stored in a Raychem inter-office envelope with an inscription written in graphite that read, "PHOTOS OF 300 CONSTITUTION DURING / CONSTRUCTION AND OCCUPANCY / 1966-1967 / FOR MUSEUM EXHIBIT." Additional text in black ink read "4/13/00" with an arrow pointing to the graphite inscription above.
