Description Redwood City Anti-Segregation Protest, 1963. Black and white negative shows an anti-segregation protest in Redwood City on the corner of El Camino Real and Jefferson Road. There are four protestors (two men and two women) all holding picket signs. The signs read: (from left to right) "NO de facto segregation", "De Facto Segregation Must end", "boundaries or barriers?" and "SUPPORT EQUAL EDUCATION." There is a Flying A service station behind them and numerous cars and businesses on El Camino. Photographer Norton Pearl notes that the protestors are local teachers. Part of a series.
