J.W. Hunnewell & Co bottle recovered from City Centre Plaza, c. 1860-1880. The 8-sided bottles have wide, concave front and back panels with flat narrow side panels bound together by relatively wide, concavely beveled corners. The rim was ground down flat and double ring finish and shows evidence of glass machine manufacture. An impressed banner in the sides of bottle outlines the name "J. W. HUNNEWELL & CO/ BOSTON". A 1.25 inches short narrow neck flares out 1.375 shoulders to a 4. inches cylindrical body. The bottle is shaped like an oblong octagon with a concave oval at base.
