At the back of the helmet, there are bolts painted in white that connect to the helmet's head and chinstrap adjustments and are spread out on each corner of the metal helmet.  Inside the middle of the helmet, the white painted bolts are connected to metal brackets that are slightly bent, in which connects to a head adjustment made of leather that covers the head. The leather head adjustment is next to and parallel to the straps of white fabric which is tied to a circle made of black fabric. The middle straps of the white fabric are tied to a brown chinstrap with a metal loop bracket adjustment for the chin with a metal nail holding the strap. The chinstrap also has a metal black circle on each end that connects it to the slightly bent metal brackets on each left and right end of the metal helmet.  At the bottom front portion of the back of the metal helmet, engraved in white and bold, the text reads "...No  217714  /  No  D113432...". In front of the top center portion of the helmet's head, there is a blue circle with a red/white striped triangle, which is the symbol for Civil Defense Air Raid Warden. On the back of the helmet on the outside border, it is surrounded by metal bracket ends painted in white with each of them are tied to a gray cloth strap, which is connected to a gray fabric circle in the middle.. Surrounding in the middle, above the black fabric circle, is a gray leather head strap, which covers the portion of the head in the helmet. On the left and right metal ends of the helmet, the gray cloth straps are connected to a gray small leather chinstrap with a small metal loop bracket used for adjusting the strap on to the chin, and a metal nail holding the chinstrap together.

On the back of the helmet on the outside border, it is surrounded by metal bracket ends painted in white with each of them are tied to a gray cloth strap, which is connected to a gray fabric circle in the middle.. Surrounding in the middle, above the black fabric circle, is a gray leather head strap, which covers the portion of the head in the helmet. On the left and right metal ends of the helmet, the gray cloth straps are connected to a gray small leather chinstrap with a small metal loop bracket used for adjusting the strap on to the chin, and a metal nail holding the chinstrap together.
