Plaque includes image of Caselli and a brief biography:  "As a three-sport star at Serra in the 1970s, John Caselli was a marked man in the West Catholic Athletic League. He was a focus of opponents' attention in football, basketball, and baseball. He caught 16 TD passes in 1974 for the Padres. That is a single-season Serra record. He had 87 career pass receptions as well. He scored 843 career basketball points. Later at UC- Berkeley, he was a three-year starter on the Bears' basketball team. He played basketball for one season in Europe."

He moved back to Cal and, as head coach there, he produced 679 victories, the most in the school's history. Three of his teams went to the College World Series. In 1997, he was the head coach of the USA National Baseball Team."
