Contains 43 samples in all, most of which have paper labels attached identifying the stitch and/or material. All of the lace itself is white in color and includes, cotton, linen, and tatting thread.

The underside of  the stand is uncovered, and has two feet that run from from front to back that are covered in green felt. The stand is curved on one side and straight on the other. On the straight edge of the stand sits the pillow. The pillow is cylindrical in shape, with a metal post on each side. The pillow can be attached to stand using metal latches around the posts. When attached, the pillow can spin in place. Pillow is also made of wood and covered in blue velvet.

The pattern consists of a square, green piece of cardstock (B) with "Snowflake" written in the lower right corner, the pattern drawn on it in ink, and holes punched in it. The next part of the pattern is on a square, white piece of graph paper (C) and has "snowflake" written in lower right corner, the pattern in pencil with letters A-T written on it, and holes punched into it. There is also a square, white piece of cardstock (D) with just the holes punched into it. Finally, there is a completed snowflake (E) made of white, cotton thread, that measures 3" in diameter.

(B) is a rectangular piece of graph paper with the pattern drawn on it in pencil and holes punched all throughout.
(C) is the finished piece of lace using the Old Bucks Pattern. It is made of white thread and has a scalloped base, with a straight top. There are 6 "bud" shapes along base as well.
