Scope & Content Office of War Information WWII Poster, 1943. Poster in a white background of a smiling man in a navy blue uniform with white stripes with two stars on the back, and a white navy cap on his head carrying his equipment in one arm and his other arm with his hand outstretched open at the bottom. On the equipment that the soldier is carrying, written in black pencil in bold, the text reads "JOHN FALTER / USNR". In the middle of the equipment and right above the soldier, painted in black and bold, the text reads "...WATTS...". At the bottom left hand corner, in a red rectangular background border, painted in white with large lettering, the text reads "If you tell where / he's going ... / He may never / get there!". At the bottom of the poster, printed in black, bold with tiny lettering, the text reads "U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING PRESS : 1943--O-556153". At the bottom right hand corner of the poster, printed in black, bold with small lettering, the text reads "Distributed for the Issuing Agency / by the Office of War Information".
