Ed Zwierlein's personal guest book. Rectangular book is comprised of a hand-carved wooden cover filled with thick off-white pages with the outer corners cut off. Pages are held into place by brown and gold cordage. Cover has carved wooden pieces glued to the front including: a star-shape emblem with an embossed eagle in center inscribed with, "MOUNTED PATROL / DEPUTY / SHERIFF / SAN MATEO COUNTY;" a round emblem with a horse and flower in center inscribed with, "CALIFORNIA HORSEMEN'S ASSOCIATION / INCORPORATED 1942" and a carving of Zwierlein's Woodside home beneath which is inscribed, "Ed.Zwierlein." Outer corners of book are cut off and there are notches carved onto edge of cover. Pages include signatures and remarks from guests that attended parties in the Zweirlein home that date from 1948-1963.
