Tom Peters Discusses Raychem, c. 1980s. 3/4" U-matic video with two different recordings. NTSC encoding. The first recording shows a 4 minute television segment broadcast on May 8, 1984 with Tom Peters discussing the Raychem Corporation's management style. The second recording is 10 minutes 41 seconds and shows raw footage of a man wearing a black suit and a red tie providing information and sales tactics on HWAT electrical heat-tracing hot water plumbing systems.
The physical videotape has a black plastic case with an integrated clear plastic sleeve at center. A paper label that is red on the top half and white on the bottom half is printed with manufacturer's information in black and white text that reads, "Scotch / 3M / UCA20S Color Plus / Videocassette." Smaller font at bottom left and right on the label reads, "U-matic S" and "34-7010-4147-6 Made in USA." Handwritten text in blue ink on the white half of the label reads, "TOM PETERS DISCUSSES RAYCHEM." The same logo and title information appear on the spine. The cassette containing the magnetic tape is constructed with translucent brown and white plastic. A white rectangular label with red font is adhered over a larger red rectangular label with black and white font on the top of the cassette along the back edge. Handwritten text in blue ink on the top label reads, "TOM PETERS / KEEP ['keep' is encircled]." Printed text matches the manufacturer's information on the front of the case. The larger red label underneath is printed with, "Scotch [covered] / MBU 18S C[covered] / Master Broadcast Videocassette / U-matic S / Made in USA." Handwritten text is partially visible on the red label at lower right that reads, "Open  (11:31)." The front of the cassette has a circular blue label adhered to the right side with white text that reads, "PAT. APPLIED FOR / 18."
