Scope & Content WWII Poster of a Woman carrying her groceries and books, 1943. Poster of a photograph of a woman in a green jacket, green hat, and yellow blouse holding her groceries in her left hand, her books in her right hand with soldiers with helmets and guns marching in a gray background above. In the middle of the poster, painted in white, bold with bigger text, the text reads "I'll carry / mine too!". Towards the right of her groceries, written in gray paint, the text says "SARRA". At the bottom of the poster, in a navy blue background, painted in white and bold and smaller text, the text reads "TRUCKS AND TIRES MUST LAST TILL VICTORY". Below that text above, printed in black with regular tiny font, the text says "OWI Poster No. 28. Additional copies may be obtained upon request from the Division of Public Inquiries, Office of War Information, Washington D.C.". Towards the middle of the bottom of the poster, the printed text in bold and tiny lettering says "U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTED OFFICE : 1943--O-503155". Towards the right hand corner at the bottom of the poster, the printed text in bold and black reads "THE OFFICE OF DEFENSE TRANSPORTATION".
