Scope & Content United States Naval Hospital, Mare Island Tribute to William P. Kyne, December 7, 1947. This certificate is awarded to William Kyne "In Appreciation of his many unselfish contributions to our Program of Rehabilitation -- Presented by the Staff of United States Naval Hospital, Mare Island, California". The emblem of the Mare Island Hospital is in the upper middle, it is a golden horseshoe surrounding a pink circle with the title of the hospital which surrounds a blue circle with the silhouette of a horse's head in front of an anchor and two crossed stethoscopes. There is intricate illumination of scroll and leafwork on the left side of the certificate.
